“'Por Que me Chamas?' is a song composed by me and Lucas Cirillo, which addresses the subjectivities of racism, more specifically cultural extraction. It was inspired by a trip to Cuba, where we can get to know the connections between Afro-Brazilian culture and Afro-Cuban culture. In addition to the drums, which make this rhythmic diasporic conversation, there is also the translation of an Orikí by Eleguá, which is Exú in Brazilian Candomblé," explains Xenia França.
