Bahian singer and songwriter Luedji Luna tells the story of her song "Asas", track from her first and acclaimed album Um Corpo no Mundo (2017). The album, produced by Sebastian Notini, brings several inspirations and mixes sounds like MPB, jazz, rhythms from the Congo, samba, reggae and batuque from Bahia with strong lyrics that deal with themes such as belonging, immigration and Afro-Brazilian identity.

“'Asas (Wings)' was composed after a great winter storm. A wind blew on my balcony and I started to dialogue with that wind, with this storm, which is the representation of an orixá much worshiped in Candomblé, which is Iansã. It is about this desire for good news, for good omen. It is the music that opens my record and that I dedicate to Iansã, ” tells Luedji Luna. Check out the radio show aired on Unisinos FM in February 2019.
