Alfamor | Paô

Brazilian singer and songwriter Paola Alfamor is also a photographer, visual artist and tattoo artist. Perhaps this list of skills explains what makes she so synesthetic and transcendent also in music. There is no way to have just one of the senses stimulated when listening to the songs from his first album, Onça, which already arrives with the blessings of the master Tincoã Mateus Aleluia. His debut album also features the production of Saulo Duarte and the participation of Perotá Chingó, MãeAna, Arthur Braganti and Bruno Capinan.

In this show, Paola tells the story of the track "Paô", which also features the voice of Mateus Aleluia, and in the sequence, a playlist of incandescent Brazilian music.

Listen to the entire episode here, aired on January 13, 2021, on FM Cultura in Porto Alegre.

"'Paô' came from my experience with Mateus Aleluia, great teacher and friend. He started calling me Paô, and explained that in Candomblé, Paô is also a greeting for the Orixás. And returning from Bahia, I told Saulo Duarte, who was producing my album, and he gave me the idea of writing some song thinking about the participation of Mr. Mateus. At the time I thought it was a little pretentious, but a few minutes later the song came all over my head, with melody and everything. Days later, in a meeting with Mr. Mateus, I sang the song and he loved it ... And he was happy to do it together and add to this work. He was the one who encourage me to sing, from the first moment. That was very exciting for me, as well as everything he taught me and teaches". Tells Paola Alfamor.
